Not surprisingly, we love to stop by thrift stores and are lucky to have so many within just a few miles of us. Because things are always changing, it makes me excited to see what little gems might be in store on any given day. We have a rule though, that while it is fun to look, we don't buy things unless we have a decided purpose for them. This is mostly to avoid clutter in our house, but also to avoid spending money on things we don't need. It's easy to think, "it's only ____". But the fact is, if you don't need it and won't use it, it's $___ too much to spend for it. Part of being thrifty, I think is being able to decide what you need and what you don't regardless of how inexpensive it might be. (And it's way easier to keep the house clean without lots of unused stuff around.)
That said, we recently stopped by one of our favorite shops recently, just 20 minutes before closing and scored this sweet Sequence game for just $2! It's in brand new condition and has already found a nice little home in our game closet. We have game nights frequently around here, and I'm excited for this treasure to make an appearance soon!
