Winter Weddings

Y'all.  We love weddings around here.  And that makes sense because weddings are full of things that we love.  Marriage, friends, food, dancing (usually), and good times.  We've been to so many weddings over the past few years, although most of them are in the spring/summer (remember that time we had 4 weddings in June?!)

This year, though we had the opportunity to go to two weddings in December - one for an old roommate of the hubs, which was a lovely morning wedding just before Christmas, and another for my very best friend in high school, which was a very festive New Year's Eve bash!  Both were so beautiful, meaningful, and really fun.  I don't have a ton of photos, but I did manage to snap a few that I think perfectly capture some of the styles of each of these events.

Instead of signing a guest book, we decorated ceramic ornaments with paint pens to hang on a Christmas tree that was outside of the reception venue!  Guests also placed gifts under the tree, which was really festive!

Gourmet hot chocolate and coffee bar complete with cinnamon sticks, chocolate shavings, marshmallows, nutmeg, and whipped cream.  Perfection.

For New Year's Eve, it was all about the glitz.  It worked out perfectly since we had the day off of work and could sleep in after.  I loved all the glitter and shiny sweet things at this wedding.  And of course we stayed and danced until midnight.  The DJ did a great job of keeping the dance floor going, and there were lots of New Year party supplies, hats, horns, and funky glasses for the photo booth and also general amusement.

More sweet treats.

One of the tables.  The other tables had tall pedestals with flowers, that I didn't get a great photo of.

We had a real blast in December with these weddings and other get-togethers with our friends and families!
