HAPPY FRIDAY! It has snowed twice this week. We've had a pretty mild winter overall, and I feel like winter is throwing a little tantrum now that it's turn is almost over. And frankly, I really enjoyed yesterday's snow. We got between 4 and 5 inches of fluffy, wet, sticky snow...so we got up early, had a fun pancake breakfast, and built a snowman.
Of course everything shut down around here so work was closed, which made the day extra fun. Hubs had a couple of meetings that he could attend from home and it has been so fun being able to spend time at home together so much recently - even when we're in different parts of the house. It's fun to see one another during the day.
It looked like Narnia to me. This is our backyard. Fortunately, we didn't lose any trees, but they weren't exactly pumped about carrying all the snow overnight. Several people in our city and region lots several trees, causing lots of power outages. Our lights flickered three times in the morning, but we never lost power for an extended period of time and we were so thankful.
All this time at home has left me with plenty of time to try new things in the kitchen though. So get ready for some random and fun recipes on the blog soon!
Did you get snow where you are? Is anyone else ready for some warmer weather?
