Healthy Banana Pancakes

Hey again - it's me.  I'm still here - actually actively reading and following some of my favorite blogs, but without too much time to edit and post photos for new posts in the recent days.  I've had this one in the draft stage for quite a while, but hadn't gotten around to writing the text for it until just recently.

Today, I'm sharing a healthy little breakfast recipe with you all that I've enjoyed making and sharing with the Little in the mornings.  I found it on Pinterest a while back and don't even know if I pinned the recipe because it was so simple.

They are super easy, and tasty - but with a totally different texture than a regular pancake in my opinion.  If your bananas are really ripe and sweet, you don't need any syrup!

Little slept through the night.

Y'all.  This is big time over here.  I'm coming to you refreshed and fully awake after our Little slept through the night for the first time in his life last night.  Not the "sleeping through the night" that the internet tells you can mean 5 hours straight (which is also great, so no complaints), but the whole night.  Like, I only got out of my bed once to use the bathroom, not to check on baby.  So this morning, I feel like this:

How Your Best Friend Makes Life Better, Even When You Really Don't Want Them To (GIFS)

It may or may not be a fluke.  But it happened and this morning, I am rejoicing in it.  I'm watching his little feet moving on the monitor (and actually ready for him to be awake now), and I am just so proud.  You did it, sweet thing!

We've had our share of back and forth successes in the sleep department around here, so we are celebrating today.  I'm writing it in the baby journal so we don't forget!

Rest is a glorious thing.  Am I right?

Budget Recap: July 2016

I may not be keeping up with much else on the blog these days (lots of drafts going on behind the scenes though!), but I am keeping up with these budgeting posts.  If you missed the first two, you can find them here and here.

Basically, hubs and I have allocated $75 of "fun money" or "fun funds" if you prefer each month that we are able to spend how we please.  This is a fun way for me to document what I bought - and then allow me to look back to see if it was worth it after the fact.

July seems a little bit like a blur to me to be honest.  I didn't buy very much and it feels like it flew by.  But, it also feels like July 4th holiday was so long ago.  It's funny how time works that way.

You're here for the purchases though, I know.

I picked up this pair of sandals from Target so that I would have a pair of flat sandals to wear that look nicer than my crocs (my go-to).  They are regularly $15.99, but I scored them on a deal and was able to use a coupon code online to get them for just $10.94.  I like them, but they rub a little on the back of my foot when I wear them for a long time.  I think they just need to be broken in though.  I have had this sandal in years past from Target, so I think I'll end up getting lots of use from these shoes.
